Engadin Mark III
Ok. I have done a complete 360. It seems that the Schloss, however cool, is too far away and the training grounds, potentially, too far away as well. Snow sure resorts are at least 30 mins drive away. I'm not a great fan of Maloja because its not a particularly social setting and the extra prices scare me. (22CHF for breakfast!!) I suspect we would spend a small fortune on feeding ourselves.
So I have come up with Plan 3.2.C which is as follows.
Bushbys (all + Katherine!) Malcolm and Geoff
Fly from Stanstead to Milan, hand luggage only (get hold luggage to me and I'll drive it out). Pick up rental people carrier. Drive to Engadin Valley.

Accomodation, Eating & Drinking
I have found a house in the Engadin Valley which sleeps 14. On the face of it, the accomodation is more expensive than Maloja, but I think that, by bringing out food and filling the extra four beds, it will end up being cheaper.
The host is holding the house for me at the moment for the next 24 hours.
The house is 10 minutes from S-Chanf (the end of the race, so easy home for tired legs) and 15 mins from st Moritz for a little people watching and a little down hill skiing for those who want.
If we can recruit two extra couples, or four more bodies, so that the house is full, it should work out at around about £1k each fed, watered and skiied. My best guess is that it will be better value than Maloja but there are too many variables to make a comparison easy. Plus, we will all be eating, drinking, sleeping and skiing from the same place so it should be more fun and sociable!
There is a dorm room still; its not the lap of luxury! 2 doubles, 3 twins/doubles and a room with two bunk beds. However, it looks comfortable and fun.
Final costs depend on finding the last four people. Wrack your brains for anyone fun! All suggestions welcome!
With all of that said, I need to book somewhere soon or we'll be seriously struggling!

If this ones a goer, then I'll book it tomorrow, so let me know asap. I will be asking for a payment shortly as the deposit for this one is £6k+!
